1969

Mieko Arikawa establishes Arikawa Jewelry in Kita Kyushu, selling principally in Fukuoka and Oita. This enterprise focused from the outset on high art designers like Christian Dior and jewelry at the forefront of fashion.

1983 Sep.

Arikawa Trading (Kazumi Arikawa, president) established in Fukuoka.  Begins import and sales of antique jewelry.

1985 Oct.

Arikawa Jewelry and Arikawa Trading merged to establish Albion Art Japan (Kazumi Arikawa, president).

1985 Dec.

Antique jewelry salon Albion Art established in Sanselfco 1F, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka.

1986 Jun.

Albion Art (U.K.) Ltd., a local purchasing company, established through investment (Gareth Jefferson, representative).

1988 Apr. 

Albion Art Gallery opens on Sanselfco 4F.

1991 Apr.

Company name changed to Albion Art Co., Ltd.

1993 Apr.

Retail store Albion Art Kokura opens at the Riga Royal Hotel Kokura 2F.

1998    

British jewelry historian Diana Scarisbrick named academic advisor.

1999 Mar.

Albion Art Kokura store closed.

1999 May.

Albion Art Tokyo Salon and Office opened in the Hotel Okura main building.
